🎄💔 It’s the end of an era at Disney World.
We’ve confirmed with Disney that the iconic Grand Floridian gingerbread house will NOT be returning this year — or in future years.
Many fans were hoping the beloved display would make its comeback now that the Grand Floridian lobby refurbishment is complete.
The gingerbread house was absent last holiday season due to construction, and plenty of guests assumed it would return once the work wrapped up.
Instead, the resort’s culinary team will create smaller holiday displays throughout the resort rather than bringing back the massive gingerbread house that has been a holiday tradition for decades.
For many Disney World visitors, a stop at the Grand Floridian to see (and smell!) the giant gingerbread display was a must-do part of the Christmas season.
From the intricate details to the festive treats sold inside, it became one of the most iconic holiday offerings anywhere on property.
While new holiday displays are coming, it appears the famous Grand Floridian gingerbread house has officially become part of Disney history. 🎁🏨
