It’s time to say farewell to Astoria…
Join us for the Short Circuit 40th Anniversary adventure as we begin the day at Stephanie’s house from Short Circuit, where Johnny 5 reunites with Ally Sheedy and Steve Guttenberg at one of the film’s most iconic filming locations. Then, for a rare opportunity few fans ever experience, we step INSIDE the famous Short Circuit house to explore its history, hidden details, and behind-the-scenes secrets with homeowner Richard Bates.
From there it’s off on an Astoria treasure hunt with our Goonies crew as we browse antique stores, discover an incredible street market (including the biggest bunny I’ve ever seen!), and visit Astoria’s museum to see original Short Circuit props and learn more about the city’s incredible movie history.
The adventure continues backstage at the Liberty Theatre during the closing ceremonies, where I somehow end up stealing Robert Davi’s Hot Tamales before joining everyone onstage for a heartfelt tribute and dedication from the event to honor our friend Adam the Woo.
Finally, we make one last pilgrimage to Ecola State Park and Cannon Beach with our Goonies family to revisit Goonies filming locations, assemble the team one last time, remember Adam, reflect on an unforgettable weekend, and say goodbye to one of America’s greatest movie towns.
