Five years ago, what started as a way to learn Cinema 4D gradually became something much bigger, sweatier and spray tanned.
The Golden Era of Wrestling is my ongoing tribute to the unforgettable world of late ’80s and early ’90s professional wrestling, reimagining the legends of the era as premium action figures through illustration, 3D and animation.
This stupid promo brings together everything the project has become: the characters, the toys, the nostalgia and the spectacle that inspired me as a kid.
The project has also grown beyond a personal project. A selection of my designs are now officially licensed as Mat Maniacs action figures, available from The Nerd Closet in North America and Rock and Roll Collectibles internationally.
