Meet the Gladiators:
Gladiator Class: RETIARIO (Retiarius)
Gladiator Name: LUGOS
Main weapons: Net, Fuscina (trident), Sica (knife)
Armor: Manicae on left arm, Galerus (bronze / iron shoulder protection)
Type of Combat: Fights with equipment representing a fisherman. Light armor allows Retiario /Retiarius to use speed and evasion to his advantage, and to tire his opponent. Primary objects are to ensnare with the net or weaken the opponent with exhaustion. When the trap allows for an opening, Retiario uses his knife to stab the opponent.
Gladiator Class: SECUTOR
Gladiator Name: GARGANOS
Main Weapons: Scutum (shield), Gladius (sword)
Armor: Helmet, Manicae on Right Arm, Light Leather Protection on Right Leg
Type of Combat: The Secutor ("the Chaser") was developed to fight the Retiario. The Secutor seeks to avoid Retiario's net and attack his opponent, using his shield for cover. The goal for Secutor is to get close to his opponent and deal a thrusting blow with his gladius.
