Tonight myself & @MoxleysParanormalWorld were invited to join @HauntedScouse & @accessparanormalpodcast9075 to investigate one of the UK's most haunted locations, Mill Street Barracks!
The building is steeped in history and has featured on many TV shows due to the paranormal activity here!
*HAUNTINGS*
An apparition of a female nurse has been witnessed on many occasions. She is known as "Claire" and is believed that she may have worked here between the 1st & 2nd world war.
The Spirit of a former soldier likes to make his presence known to females, but not in a nice way! It is reported that he likes to touch woman who he finds attractive and push away and try to scare those he considers to be less attractive. He tends to ignore the males as he sees himself as being above them....
The Spirit of a tea lady with trolley has been seen in the Drill Hall, standing in the corner without moving.
People have witnessed seeing a three-legged dog here too. His growls are quite prominent against a silent room.
A Sinister dark shadow has been seen lurking around in the cellar. People have left the cellar to terrified to return.
It has been reported that there is a paranormal portal in the top floor dormitory and that this area can be quite sinister.
Marching, heavy footsteps, taps, cold spots and whistles are all experienced here on a regular basis, will we experience this tonight......
*HISTORY*
Mill Street Barracks was built in 1861 and is steeped in military and local history. It has accommodated many branches of the armed forces throughout its life involving numerous wars. It has been a morgue during several world wars. The barracks has links with the nearby church and nunnery.
After WWI it was used as an isolation unit for tuberculosis patients, housing men, women and children as they struggled with their disease.
Throughout the latter half of the 20th century Mill Street Barracks became infamous as a site of significant paranormal activity. Given its history as a morgue during several wars, its links to the nearby churches and nunnery, and its former caretakers, the Barracks has a wealth of links with those who have passed over.
Today, Ghost Hunters and Spiritual Groups visit the Barracks to search for evidence of haunting. There are more than ten regularly sighted spirits here making Mill Street Barracks one of the most haunted buildings in the UK.
