RacingFreak | The Getaway Soundtrack - Intro/Main Menu Theme (Early Version) @RacingFreak | Uploaded January 2022 | Updated October 2024, 22 hours ago.
Happy New Year everyone! In the days to come I'll be uploading the entirety of The Getaway and The Getaway: Black Monday's soundtracks, converted directly from the game files as opposed to in-game recordings, thus offering the highest possible quality. This will also include earlier versions and unused tracks. Sadly, they're still mono due to the specifications of the audio format itself, but every sample has been manually converted to ensure they've been processed properly. It's a long overdue project of mine finally coming to fruition and they'll be made available for download on the site very soon: thegetaway.uk/getaway
This earlier version of the main menu theme is used in the Demo and Preview builds of the game. While very similar to the final version, there are some differences in the arrangement as a whole and more noticeably there's the full ending without cuting off, followed by a brief pause which I didn't cut out.
Composed by: Andrew & Simon Hale
Performed by: The London Session Orchestra
