An off the cuff (albeit on issues i have been mulling over for days now) video on the whole US policing situation.
As i say in the video, this ins NOT a video for my Patreon (if you are a patron this will not trigger a pledge) BUT I felt it important to say all of this prior to recording a video which will. That video will concern a recent event in the UK whereupon a well known comedian expressed regret for representing black and Asian characters in his comedy show, as well as white characters. I find this concerning and his whole apology based upon a misunderstanding of "black face" that now gets levelled at things which are almost diametrically the opposite of that which is regarded as the issues involving "black face". This is the result of social media, in many ways, and consequentially the lowest common denominator of societal idiot now punching way above their weight purely by means that they can spread their vitriolic pig-ignorance in a way which which smears across the nuance and complexity which underpins just such things as the idea of "black face" and reduces them to ANY scenario whereupon a black person is represented by anyone else, even if it actually represents an example of increased inclusion and opportunity and a reduction in racist thinking and portrayal.
But that is the next video.
This video is about the George Floyd situation. Why police officers placing their knee on someones neck is an atrocity and how reform is not something best left to an ignorant mob to outline.
