Since November 9, 2014, creators of Geometry Dash levels have been able to use the expansive repertoire of content on the Newgrounds Audio Portal in their work, which has influenced hundreds of people to experiment with making and publishing their own audio to the Portal. In fact, over the past eight years, Geometry Dash has served as a gateway for community members like Sharks, Lemons, Miyolophone, Valent, and countless others into the vast world of electronic music production, and has even inadvertently lead some, like Zyzyx and myself, down indie singer/songwriter path as well.

In spite of this, the audio used by the creator community in-game is dominated by massive talented artists who have very little involvement with the game itself, and this population of musical saplings, rooted in the GD community and flowering somewhere else, is largely underrepresented. My goal with this video, or perhaps this series, is to help change that.

I talk a lot! There are four reasons for this:
1.) To point out the artists' compositional choices that are either unnoticeable to untrained ears or devoured by OBS's terrible compression
2.) To motivate you to go listen to the songs yourself so you don't have to listen to me
3.) To provide some feedback to the artists and help the community learn how to also do so literately with production lingo
4.) Because I'm a nerd and I can't help it!
