The list of nominees for The Game Awards 2025 went up this morning and there's some specific choices going on here I just can not get. While Game of the Year feels like a safe lock in for a number of big hype inducing games from this year, more specific categories begin to show a lot of strange genre mashups, as well a number of games sitting with 0 nominations that absolutely deserve to be a part of the conversation. Here's my thoughts on some big games missing, and some categories that are just...odd.
