How can governments, health systems, and global institutions ensure access to reliable, high-quality health information in an era of misinformation and rapid digital change? This World Health Summit 2025 workshop shared findings from the Nature Medicine Commission on Quality Health Information for All and explored practical strategies for strengthening information integrity worldwide.
The session presented emerging insights from the Commission’s research on quality health information indicators, drawing on a global scoping review and expert interviews. Speakers examined how quality indicators can be embedded into policy and service delivery and discussed the challenges of adapting them across diverse resource settings.
Another central theme was the economic value of investing in quality health information. Participants explored how clearer communication of this value can support better policymaking, resource allocation, and long-term investment. The role of scientific journals and media platforms in promoting transparency, rigor, and accountability was also discussed, along with collaborative approaches to counter misinformation and strengthen public trust.
This workshop was part of the World Health Summit 2025 in Berlin and was co-hosted by Bertelsmann Stiftung and the Nature Medicine Commission on Quality Health Information for All.
