Fleeing the destruction of the Cataclysm, this forgotten race of dwarves delved so deep that the surface world completely forgot they existed. Meet the Nylgai Hadirnoe—the Scorned Dwarves of Taladas. Centuries in the dark have faded their skin to a pale brown, and thick beards are a point of pride for both males and females. They didn't lose their magic during the Cataclysm. Their state religion, the Order of Makers, uses raw forge magic fueled by the tides of Krynn's three moons filtering through the bedrock. But their obsession with digging deeper became their downfall. They accidentally breached a sealed cavern and unleashed the Disir—a savagely evil race that uses necromancy to turn dead dwarves against the living. Desperate and facing extinction, these proud, xenophobic dwarves are now breaking their own laws—hiring surface wizards to launch suicide missions into the dark.
