I would've died from two hits because I was playing at hard survival without any armor, but since I'm wearing red paint they've become passive, they've knelt and even sung for me. XD
Just a disclaimer, even if you have red paint on, if you attack them (even just a swing of anything you're holding) or carry a weapon (besides the stick) around them, you will still get attacked. They will initially attack to test if you're an enemy so just be always ready to block. You need to earn their trust. Also don't sprint like an idiot, or they will still chase you. Walk back until there's a good distance between you and them before you start running like hell.
