This piece was to see how well I could orchestrate string sections without any 'cover'. The transitions between notes, when using orchestral samples instead of real musicians, can sound abrupt and fake. If you layer those instruments under other instruments like percussion, you can hide that computer generated feel.
Here, there is minimal cover as an exercise to understand these sample libraries better and develop some techniques to achieve more realism.
