Here's the actual fix for camera shake when you're filming macro on a workbench: decouple the camera from the table. I built a small isolation mount that the macro rig sits on, so the rig floats independent of the work surface. Now I can bang on the table as much as I want and the shot barely moves. The whole camera isn't shaking anymore, and the wide shot doesn't even show the rig.
