In this video, we will take a look at Arden Station before the Metro Tunnel Opening, then film & hop on board the first ever train to stop at a Metro Tunnel station with Passengers!
The Metro tunnel has been one of Melbourne's main rail & infrastructure projects over the last 10 years, with 5 new underground Melbourne City stations! The project connects the current city loop & Flinders Street Stations and the whole Sunbury & Dandenong line to new stations, and areas around Melbourne that haven't seen train service before!
The Tunnel has been in the test phase for over a year now, with a large number of trains running through, from crawling speeds to the 80kmph running speed!
I am very grateful to have the opportunity to ride the first train, as it's quite a milestone in Victorian Rail History!
