The first science images from the Euclid Space Telescope were released today and they are INCREDIBLE! Unlike JWST or Hubble which both focus on details in small areas of sky, Euclid looks at a large area of sky all at once giving incredible images which will be used to map the positions and distances of billions of galaxies in the universe. Astrophysicists will use this map to study where dark matter is in the universe and how the expansion rate of the universe has changed with time.
