"For a thousand years, the two Chess-nations lived in peace. No war was necessary, even after the Almighty God Kereen transformed the humanity into chess-based beeings.
Every 50 days, we are in the need of doing a sacrifice, to prevent a draw. A draw - according to the high God - results in the Apocalypse, and therefor the ultimate destruction of our everything.
The sacrifice is consisting of one randomly chosen human from each Nation, who is then forced to fight the otherone. Since it's a necessity to keep the existence of existence existing, it's seen as the highest honor.
Everything changed, after the White Chess Empire declared the Black Chess Shogunate war. Thus, the WWIV started."

The Samurais of the Shogunate would've been an easy takedown, after Alfred Kropp of the Empire developed a new White Piecemodification, which allowes the user to destroy every enemys pawn in one turn.
After capturing major parts of the Black Shogunate - the place that once had the name "Russia", and half of Minor Asia, the first battle of the WWIV ended with a full retreat of the Empire.
It's ironic, that a Pawnranked Samurai, named Chaku Matu, a well known genious Wannabe-Wannabe developed a counterstrategy:
He used a Black Skill, to lower the turn-time to half a second. The soliders of the Empire - doomed to always have the first turn, because thay are white - hadn't had enough time to react, and where instantly defeated during sudden starting and stopping surprise attacks of Matu's squad, in cause of a timeout.
This led to three things:
The Empire wasn't able to defeat the Shogunate with one attack.
A new class of Samurai was born: The Ninja.
And third of all:
A new hero was born.
The legendary Pawn Chaku Matu has ultimately proven, that he is a real hero, and not just a Wannabe, even though he acts like one, and wants to be one.
He is the genious Wannabe Wannabe.
