The first American martyr who died for Jesus Christ was Blessed Stanley Roether.

He was born to a farm family in Oklahoma during the Great Depression and later became a Catholic Priest.

He was sent on a mission trip to Guatemala and while there was brutally ended, refusing to deny his faith.

I saw the movie at an early screening in Oklahoma City and I absolutely loved it.
