When I first heard Don Bliston’s music, it inspired me to make a video out of his Fireman’s Lament song. This also inspired me to write a poem, which was first posted to my SoundCloud around the same time I posted the video.
After uploading PGE to YouTube earlier this year, I realised that I could bring some more life to this poem - which was just me reading the thing in one take & cleaning up the audio. & now, after re-recording & fully transforming it into something more filling, I hope you all enjoy The Fireman’s Poem.
