It's time for our final season of Reg M-B! I figured I would do the initial Recruitment phase as a separate video this time so I could do it a day early and have time to prepare the team for the new season. This time we do have a few Pokémon coming in from our escapades into Master Ball in Season 2, so we can afford to take some more interesting picks. As a result... well it won't happen immediately, but we DO have the makings of a pretty cool Trick Room core this time round! I'm pretty excited to try and learn how to play such a team, but before I can get there I have a LOT of work to do on this current roster's movesets / abilities. This season looks to be the toughest yet, so here's hoping I can pull out some victories and make my way back to Master Ball!
Challenge Rules:
1) At the start of each season, permanently recruit 6 new Pokémon from the current Regulation. There are no restrictions on what you can pick outside of Species Clause.
2) Build the team using only those 6 Pokémon. No held items of any kind are allowed at the start of the first season, but any unlocked items may be used in subsequent seasons.
3) Before battling with a Pokémon for the first time, you may alter the FIRST move it knows to an appropriate STAB option of your choice. Then, your initial moveset becomes the Pokémon's memory, to be noted for future reference.
4) At any time between games, you are allowed to freely EV Train any of your Pokémon (including changing Natures), teach a move in a Pokémon's memory, and/or teach EXACTLY Protect/Detect to any Pokémon.
5) Go on the Doubles Ranked Ladder and attempt to win games. For every game you win you earn a Champion Point to spend on an improvement to your team.
6) Champion Points may be spent on the following:
a) Recruit a new Pokémon. (Unlocked Affinity Tickets may be used at this time)
b) Unlock 1 Item at random from all available choices. (Cannot be redeemed from bot victories)
c) Unlock 1 Mega Stone of your choice.
d) Add one move to the memory any of your Pokémon.
e) Change the Ability of one of your Pokémon.
7) Upon reaching Ultra Ball 4 in subsequent seasons, you may unlock a Pokémon from the previous season(s) chosen at random. This is repeated the first time you hit each new bracket from UB 3-1. If you reach Master Ball, all prior Pokémon become usable again.
8) Any Pokémon recruited in Master Ball will go into a collection that you can tap into after picking your initial team of 6 in the following season. You will be allowed to pick up to 4 Pokémon from this pool to bring forward.
9) Shiny Rule - In the event that a Recruitable Pokémon is a shiny, that Pokémon is obtained for free and can be edited in any way the player wishes. An additional recruit shall happen after the shiny is collected.
