Supergirl’s final needledrop was locked in during the last week of editing.

Director Craig Gillespie says they tried 45 different songs before landing on a soft cover of “The Middle” by Kelty Greye and KidMotel (originally by Jimmy Eat World).

He credits James Gunn for helping with the process, which came down to the wire.

We personally love the song choice, and think the tempo and lyrics fit perfectly with Kara’s emotional arc in the film!
