With pride and pleasure we hosted Prof. Dr. Selwa Al-Hazzaa on our Podcast! On January 11, 2013, as per Royal Decree from King Abdullah, Al-Hazzaa became one of the first ever female members of the Saudi Arabia Shoura Council. She published many papers, but her most important paper was DUANES, which specialized in genetically inherited eye diseases in Saudi Arabia. These are but few of her astonishing accomplishments.
She is a remarkable, brave and dedicated woman, passionate and innovative expert in the field of ophthalmology and a calm, peace driven diplomat, who wants to change the world of medicine for the better.
In this talk she was as kind as to share her unique life story, her experience from her international upbringing, her ideas about medicine's future and a few well meant advice for all of mankind.
