This legislation is the largest change in regulation to cosmetics in the US since 1966. I give you my thoughts as someone who has worked as a chemist in manufacturing for almost a decade. This act referred to MoCRA is the Modernization of Cosmetic Regulation Act of 2022, as of December 29, 2022. Most of the regulation lined out in MoCRA is not in place yet, but will be implemented in the next few years.
