We talk about Character Design a ton, on a channel called Character Design Forge, but often it’s about the specifics. The Mario, the Mickey Mouse. The individual characters for specific purposes and stories. This video is one I’ve wanted to make forever though, because on the other hand, it covers a wide variety of examples, through different mediums and formats. One thing unites all of them, though. There’s a base, a default, a starting point, that can then be repeated over and over. What makes a good base, and at the end, can we make one ourselves? One that other artists, like perhaps even yourself, could use?
