What happened to Green Lantern (2011)?
Once intended to launch a major new DC superhero franchise, Green Lantern became one of the most infamous superhero movie failures of the 2010s. With a huge budget, an established comic book character, and Ryan Reynolds in the lead role, Warner Bros. expected Green Lantern to become the beginning of something much bigger.
Instead, it became a critical disappointment, a box office underperformer, and a movie that has become synonymous with everything that can go wrong with a blockbuster production.
