Britain's wartime rush for a submachine gun went down several dead ends before settling on the Sten Gun. One such avenue was the VeselĂ˝. This example, the rarer paratrooper variant (VeselĂ˝ 43) was deemed to complex and expensive for mass production.
It does feature an ingenious 'double-stack' magazine system that intrigued the War Office so much that the weapon continued to be looked at until it was finally killed-off by the Sterling SMG.
