The Expanse might be set 200 years into the future, but it has many historical elements, including from The Age of Exploration, from the 1400s to the 1600s, when Europeans set to sail around the world, lay claim to lands and seas from west to east, bring back resources and exploit the local population. Scientist and history buff Dr. Rutger Vos joins Gil Kidron on Got Academy to discuss some of the historical inspirations behind The Expanse and teh similarities, and learn a little bit of history along the way.
