Let’s retrace the evolution of the European Parliament elections, from 1979 until today
The indicated results represent the number of members by political groups.
The results are those obtained during the election and do not take into account changes during the mandate. Thus, the representations of the outgoing parliament are not indicated.
The distribution of seats between political groups after the 2024 elections is still provisional. It will be fixed during the constitutive session of the new European Parliament, which will be held from July 16 to 19. The 44 "Others" members will then either be included in a political group or in the NI group.
