The Euclid Space Telescope is set to launch no earlier than the 1st July 2023 on a SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket from Cape Canaveral, FL, USA. Itโs one job over the next 6 years will be to survey the positions, shapes and distances to galaxies within 10 billion light years in over a third of the sky. The aim is to make the most detailed map of the Universe ever; a map that will help us crack some of the biggest mysteries of the cosmos. How is dark matter distributed and what it is it? Plus how the Universe's expansion rate (i.e. the Hubble constant) has changed with time and what that can tell us about dark energyโฆ
