Dr. Akasemi Newsome (UC Berkeley Institute of European Studies), Prof. Marianne Riddervold (Inland Norway University of Applied Sciences), and Prof. Jarle Trondal (University of Agder), co-editors of the volume The Palgrave Handbook of EU Crises, discuss their research on the multiple crises facing the EU. Their research explores the European Union’s institutional and policy responses to crises across policy domains and institutions – including the Euro crisis, Brexit, the Ukraine crisis, the refugee crisis, as well as the global health crisis resulting from COVID-19.
