This video was based on Carl Jung's essay: The Psychological Aspects of the Kore. In this video, we discuss a symbolic motif which appears in the myth of Demeter and Kore which is the idea of the eternal mother. This idea ties motherhood to the natural cycles of the earth which gives the feeling of a universal motherhood which is not confined to one's individual life. We discuss this motif as it appears in other works including Arrival and the Netflix series Dark.
