USS Alaska surged ahead, ready to confront an innovative German pocket battleship in the cold waters of the Atlantic. The behemoth Alaska, envisioned as the ultimate German commerce-raider destroyer, was armed with nine 12-inch guns, twelve 5-inch guns, and a top speed of 33 knots, striking the perfect balance between speed and firepower.

Her opponent, although smaller, was still a fearsome foe who had earned a reputation for her perfect blend of firepower, speed, armor, and her thirst for destroying commerce ships and severely damaging ships that could not keep up with her speed.

As the main batteries from both ships thundered with even accuracy, Alaska began maneuvering through the waves, evading the enemy salvos while unleashing a relentless barrage.
The odds were even, and American and German sailors sought to outsmart one another. Alaska had more firepower, but the pocket battleship had better armor.
