We've loved all of the covers Maphra has dropped in the past six or seven months, but her Doomed cover remained unmatched until now. Yeah, there aren't any of her soul-ripping screams here, but the level of emotional delivery is nothing short of otherworldly. The wavers, the back and forth between dark and bright tones, the subtle cries and powerful belts all culminate to create something truly that can only be described as breathtaking....and even that's an understatement.

And this is a double win as well because the original by Faozia is also utterly phenomenal. Faozia's voice is so expressive and nuanced, especially in the way she leans in and out of full voiced, dominating melodies and softer, lighter passages and her vocal cascade during the outro is unreal...who knows....maybe a song by the both of them is in the future?
