The complete perversion of the banks, in open public view, into weapons of political blackmail
cannot be simply corrected, or stopped. The perpetrators of this crime ( crime seems much too mild a term here) must be subject to justice of sufficient gravity and permanence that no person or institution is ever tempted to repeat the offence.
