The Elite Four are the best trainers you could find in just about every region, but what is their actual job? Just guards before the Champion?? That's not a great use for the strongest battlers around, so what if they were founded with a more important purpose, like protecting the entire region from giant monsters? Any Pokémon could be scary, but there are one-of-a-kind, ultra-powerful Legends out there that could destroy the world with ease, so humanity might have thought about this and set up a failsafe of the strongest trainers to protect themselves from certain doom!
