Well, since I'm no longer limited to exactly one minute for these Shorts, and I've figured out how to speed my voice up in editing instead of trying to talk fast, I figure I might as well redub and reedit my most popular feature with more coherent audio and higher video quality. So sit back and enjoy a revisit through one of my absolute favorite animated shows, Ed Edd n Eddy. The Ed-Touchables is the very first episode of the show. ...And it shows. The show didn't have that great a start, to the point I'm happy I only started regularly watching Cartoon Network when it was in its fourth season, or I would have ignored this show completely. The plot is that some kids belongings have supposedly been stolen, so the Eds volunteer to find them in exchange for cash. They seemingly catch the culprit, only to find the belongings were just misplaced, and they get their comeuppance for their quick judgements, which will become a recurring theme. Being the first episode, the characters aren't as developed as they would become, with some voices still not finalized, and the humor has yet to find its timing, most of it coming off as slow and random. That said, the episode still does well with establishing its suburban setting and most of the main cast of the show in under eleven minutes. Including their personalities, relationships, and some quirks, especially Double-D's knack for making fantastical gadgets out of mundane junk. As well as most episodes beginning with a disconnected separate story that will have little to nothing to do with the main plot. So, in that sense, this is a decent start, and would pave the way for much higher quality material as the series continued. ...Also, it has a structure, which is more than I can say for most of its first season.
