I have a passion for capturing the beauty of the night sky, yet I find myself feeling uncomfortable with being alone at night in nature. This film showcases the beauty and magic of the night sky, with a soundtrack that helps to convey the uneasy feeling of being alone under the darkness.
The Edge of Darkness, for me, is that line between loving the night and being uncomfortable of the unknown.
The film was captured over 12 days in southern Utah this past May. While I rarely shoot alone, there's a desire to find unique compositions that require that you leave the group and head out into the darkness, into the brush, and often times under moonless skies.
