I love this book. It seems nearly everyone loves this book! And for good reason. Austen is a master of the fantasy of romance, and perhaps here, better than anywhere else, she makes it so easy to believe. Today, however, I want to talk about the economic realities behind the novel, what Lizzy's two rejections mean, what the French aristocratic names highlight, and interpret the final words of the book in this light.
