You've undoubtedly heard pundits talk about corruption quite a bit, whether you live in a rich country like the United States or a poorer one.
However, since the term is very frequently used but not as frequently explained, the average person knows corruption is a bad thing but has literally no idea what it actually is.
Without understanding at least the basic definition (or meaning) of the term "corruptions" through carefully-chosen examples which also make it clear what the economic effects of corruption are (the costs, in other words), it's difficult to meaningfully follow the many debates surrounding this topics.
