In this video, I show you why and how to descale the Delonghi La Specialista Opera. After that, I show you how to backflush the machine. Both of these procedures are important for the longevity of your machine. The former makes sure the mineral deposits don't block the internal water lines, while the latter cleanes the coffee oils out of the water path from the brew group, through the solenoid, down into the drip tray.
