Let me teach you something bout the internet! The internet is made up of billions of computers! (Woo!) All around the world from Brisbane to Bermuda! Connected to each other by a whole bunch of cables, Or radio signals, thats how we send emails, And games, websites, pictures of sunsets! Want a cat video? Type in a request! Your request gets sent out to a server, And broken into packets, Ill explain further! Theres a lot of different information in the packets! First, its got something called an IP address! Thats four sets of numbers with three dots in between! Thats the address of the server where your packets gonna be! All of the packets travel different paths, Through special computers called routers! (Super fast!) Then theyre all reassembled, so the server repeats, The request you made, and knows what you need! Then it finds the video you wanted to play, And it breaks it into packets that are headed your way! It all happens in a fraction of a second, like now!
