For the longest time, the DDPD was thought to have the most complex, sophisticated surveillance system in the whole of Dyssonessia. But while they had considered the mechanical aspect of their war against the wrong, they had failed to consider the digital aspect - a flaw that would ultimately come back to bite them as a new threat, "Anonymush," joined the Mushia.
Within hours, every last piece of tech in their headquarters had gone hawire, from screens dreaming of purple gorillas (what even is a gorilla?) to coffee machines that acted as makeshift turrets of scaling, caffeinated ichor.
(For their own sake, Petey and Devi were locked in a Faraday Cage. Petey tried to eat his badge out of anxiety.)
Helmittle, desperate, deployed a RAT inside the cage, hoping to trick the intruder—but it wasn’t enough.
Years ago, the DDPD had invested thousands into security setups, which had all long gone bankrupt. Among these was the Garage Initiative, an Underbelly hacktivist group that was desperate to make some money out of their product. They forked over their magnum opus, the Snipper Zero, in exchange for a reduced bail. And since then, it had sat on the shelf of the Chief's office for ages, inactive - just in case there was a nasty thing or two the Initiative had put in it as a last laugh against the DDPD.
Their suspiscions were correct - it was a ticking time bomb loaded with enough malware to make a six-figure IT monster lost their faith in the divine. But it was also the pinnacle of signal-sniping, and, in a subconscious attempt to attack the DDPD upon awakening, it dumped a hydrogen bomb worth of trojan viruses onto the "securely-tunneled" Mushia network.
The little machine, unassumingly toylike in appearance, perked up- now free of it's malicious origins and intents. It wrangled the last of the haywire machines, and cobbled them together into brawny legs for it's big brain. The others, especially the machines, feared it at first, but if there's something you can't beat, might as well have it on your side. After all, it's a pretty chipper hero at the end of the day.
Anonymush was never heard from again. Consequences come with blowing up a major part of the Mushia network, I'd assume.
Also, the machine's name is GR-3G. Say hi, he loves company.
