The Dutch Government resigns after Child Benefits Scandal on Friday, January 15th. A parliamentary report concluded that tax authorities unfairly targeted poor families over child care benefits. Prime Minister Mark Rutte and his entire cabinet stepped down. The government has apologised for the tax office’s methods and set aside more than €500m (£450m) in compensation, about €30,000 for each family.
