An expansive floating cloud of objects inspired by cherished belongings — including a beloved childhood teddy bear — now sparks intrigue and reflection at Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport (MSP). It’s the airport’s latest experiential landmark for Minnesota travelers and provides visitors with a new, lasting impression and cultural link to the state.
Internationally renowned artist Kipp Kobayashi has completed “The Dreams We Carry” within the two-story Concourse G Rotunda in Terminal 1 — near Gates G18-22. Minnesotans and MSP travelers inspired the design of the 45-foot-wide hanging sculpture — featuring more than 300 hand-formed wire mesh forms.
