The emotional fallout from Under the Mountain sits heavy, but for the first time someone actually listens when she speaks. Her nightmares and her strength are treated with the same gravity. Chapter 12, Feyre begins to understand Rhysand not as a mask but as a High Lord shaped by sacrifice, loyalty, and the cost of keeping a city alive. Their dynamic shifts. The line between manipulation and trust becomes more complicated. Feyre learns how much the world depends on what she becomes. Chapter 13, Feyre’s empathy clashes with the Spring Court tithe and the wraith’s starvation. She breaks protocol to help because she knows what hunger feels like.
