Join onboard with Jenson Button's McLaren MP4-25 for a lap around the cancelled 2010 layout of Donington Park, home of the 2010 British Grand Prix.
Originally, The 2010 Formula 1 Calendar, the British Grand Prix it had to be located at Donington Park for the second time in F1 history, the first as a British GP venue, instead of the classic Silverstone Circuit, but failed to raise sufficient funds to redesign the circuit of Leicestershire due to financial and organizational troubles, increased from the 2007/09 worldwide financial crisis.
The proposed layout designed by Hermann Tilke could have this following modifications:
- The main straight has been moved to the former Starkey Straight, which is now longer thanks to the removal of the "Esses" chicane; it will now be a much more convenient overtaking point on the way to the new first corner, the Melbourne hairpin.
- The new section completes the first sector, with a long and challenging downhill parabolic, which leads onto turn 3; after which a steep uphill curve brings you back to the old main straight.
- From the fifth corner there is no change to the old layout up to the last corner, which is now sharper and aligned with the new straight. The old start/finish line can be used in the National layout.
