This was a project for school. The parameters were that you had to make a 2 - 2 1/2 minute film titled "The Discovery" and you had to include the phrase "I never minded the little things" or something along those lines. This is what I came up with.
This spoof is based more so on the 1960s television show Get Smart rather than on the more recent movie, so I tried to include the older show gags, like the "Hope I wasn't outta line with the crack about (insert joke here)" and how Max picks up one of Carlson's doo-hickies and asks what it does, and it is just a normal item.
Super big thanks to Ryan and Mike for being my actors, to Cody who answered my editing questions and suggested against shooting myself with a dart gun (it was changed to an infrared gun), and to my dad who tied my tie. I will be a true man someday, but until then I'll stick to clip ties and wearing my rubber band bracelets underneath my suit to weddings and other such formal occasions.
Also, look forward to another film project, by the end of the semester I will have to write, shoot, and edit a ten minute short film. Needless to say that seems like a daunting task, but I'm sure I will think of something trivial to make a ten minute dramatic film about.
