Twenty-year-old, hazel-eyed Lynsie Ekelund was a student at Fullerton College studying journalism. On February 16, 2001, Lynsie cancelled her traditional Friday night plans with her mom to spend the night at a girlfriend's house. A male friend picked up Lynsie in his white truck, and the two left together. Nancy smiled and waved goodbye as they pulled out of the driveway.

Lynsie never returns home, and the case goes cold until a seasoned investigator from the DA's office takes on the case.
