The Delusions were formed in 1996 by former members of resident Seattle bands Voodoo Gearshift (Jim Roth, later the guitarist for Built to Spill) and Bone Cellar (Dave Keppel, Matt Marti) and Denise Maupin on bass. They released a single in 1996 as a side project before their respective bands imploded, allowing them to record and release their debut album, "I Hope it Dies on a Sunny Day" in 1998.
