Defense startup Castelion has raised $1 billion at a $13 billion valuation as it races to scale production of its Blackbeard hypersonic weapon system and develop new long-range and defensive capabilities. Co-founder and CFO Andrew Kreitz discusses why manufacturing thousands of weapons at low cost is the company’s central challenge, and how his experience at SpaceX shaped Castelion’s approach.
